Ground Vehicle Engineering
About the Book Series
This Ground Vehicle Engineering Series invites and unites high caliber professionals from the
industry, academia, and research government and private agencies for producing top quality
technical and handbooks, chapter books, undergraduate- and graduate-level texts on all aspects
of the engineering and research of various types of conventional (with a driver) and autonomous
vehicles for different operational domains, including but not limited to roads and rails, off-road
and severe terrain conditions, different climate and adversarial and military-related
environments, and celestial bodies.
The Series concentrates on conceptually new approaches and methodologies, especially related
to vehicle digital engineering and digital twin systems, vehicle dynamics, perception of
environment and vehicle-environment interaction with exteroceptive and proprioceptive sensors,
AI-based planning and control of vehicle mission, operation and performance, modeling of
vehicle systems, vehicles and systems of vehicles with immersing simulation in virtual and
mixed realities, human-vehicle interaction, vehicle and vehicle intelligent system design,
experimental physical and hybrid tests, verification and validation, vehicle maintenance,
repairing and manufacturing technologies.
