ISME Series in Music Education
About the Book Series
- The ISME Global Perspectives in Music Education Series encompasses publications that focus critical thought in a single issue and/or drive policy and practice forward through new resources, approaches, pedagogies and insights.
- The ISME Specialist Themes in Music Education Series includes books that draw on the cutting-edge research being carried out within ISME areas and provide a site for deep critical interrogation of the issues at hand and/or resources for practitioners based on the work of ISME Commissions, Special Interest Groups, Forum and Standing Committees.
Each series offers a focused conduit through which members of ISME and their colleagues can publish scholarly and instructional work.
Proposals are welcome!
To be included in, contribute to, and/or submit a proposal, authors must be (or become) a member of the International Society for Music Education (ISME). The collaboration with the Canadian Music Educators’ Association (CMEA) also encourages and enables contributions from CMEA members for inclusion in either of the two series.
