Routledge Studies in Courts and Legal Systems
About the Book Series
This series covers aspects relating to courts in civil and criminal proceedings, and appellate courts and judges, in both domestic and international courts. It explores the role of courts, the role of actors within a court, (including, lawyers, judges, court staff, expert witnesses, defendants, victims, and the jury), and the interplay between courts, the law, and the wider legal system. The series explores a variety of aspects relating to legal systems, the comparative differences in legal systems, and the role of courts and law within them.
Contributions that take either a comparative or single jurisdiction approach are welcomed, as are submissions for monographs or edited collections that address the civil law tradition or common law system. We actively encourage proposals from authors based in the Global South. Submissions which cover themes such as digital justice, the role of artificial intelligence and the courts, or alternative dispute resolution would also be very relevant.
