Routledge Study Skills

About the Book Series

About the Series

The concept of the Routledge Study Skills series is simple. Designed for students, these books help provide the skills needed to thrive at university regardless of the subject of study - at under- and postgraduate levels.

This accessible series is designed to offer friendly advice and support covering the key topics that students need to consider in order to make the most of their higher education experience.

About the Series Editors

Sandra Sinfield is Associate Teaching Professor in the Centre for Teaching Enhancement based at London Metropolitan University, UK. She worked with Tom Burns (also Associate Teaching Professor in the Centre for Teaching Enhancement based at London Metropolitan University, UK) on this Series   until his passing in 2024. With over 65 years of combined teaching experience in both further and higher education. Sandra and Tom have both been a part of the widening participation agenda from return to study modules, access programmes, under- and postgraduate course development and delivery as well as staff development in all its various formats.

Sandra is research active, including with and within #creativeHE - part of the changing tides of HE responding in creative and liberatory ways to the agendas of widening participation and equity - to ensure students get the most from and make their own accommodation with the academy.  She helps staff to authentically value all students for what they bring and what they do contribute to the knowledge generating business of HE.

The series encourages submissions for books that draw on the key themes of study skills - that are written with the interest of the student in mind. If you’d like to submit a proposal for the series, please contact Sandra Sinfield ([email protected]) and Sarah Hyde ([email protected])
