The LACK Book Series
About the Book Series
The LACK Book Series is devoted to the promotion and development of thought inspired by the tradition of Lacanian psychoanalytic theory. The series publishes work that engages the intersection of psychoanalysis with philosophy, politics, and contemporary culture. The books in the series demonstrate the unique explanatory power of psychoanalysis in addressing the pressing concerns of our day. These books deepen readers’ engagements with Lacan by offering new insights and pushing Lacanian theory in novel directions. The series develops key psychoanalytic concepts (such as fantasy, desire, death drive, and repetition) in conjunction with the vital concerns of our day (the reappearance of fascism, the climate crisis, contemporary conceptions of gender and sexuality, the impact of racism, the shape of ideology, and many others). Additionally, it provides a space for psychoanalytic books that focus on film, television, and other forms of media. The LACK Book Series provides a forum for a diverse group of scholars from across a wide range of disciplines and from around the globe.
