The Professional Policing Curriculum in Practice
About the Book Series
Designed to meet the needs of the National Policing Curriculum and the demands of the Police Education Qualification Framework, this series of books for student and trainee police officers is tailored specifically to the new pre-join routes. Each book is stand alone, but they also work together to layer information as students progress through their pre-join programmes, providing balanced and critical coverage of all aspects of the curriculum. The books are written by authors experienced in recent policing practice and academia, and contain a range of pedagogical features linking theory to practice, including critical thinking activities, case studies, summaries and knowledge checks. The texts reflect modern policing, are up-to-date and relevant, and grounded in practice, preparing students for the challenges faced by professional police officers.
